Brad Nelson’s recent paintings celebrate the everyday. Painting in his family room rather than in a space exclusively functioning as an artist studio, his examinations of familiar objects capture the mundane rhythm of our daily rituals. As in previous series, the sun plays a significant factor guiding the artist’s process in this new body of work.

An exhibition in various media that reflects upon the age-old quest of humanity to change matter and substances by turning them into precious elements – and to materialize the immaterial. This exhibition addresses the spectrum of humanity’s orbit – from the microscopic to the macroscopic, from cell tissue to matter in the universe; from the intangible to the tangible – and to the reverse: from the idea to its transmutation and creative manifestation; and in the visual arts, visual media that transports and reflects the idea of its creator. The work in this exhibition echos, both conceptually and emotively, humanity’s perpetual strive and endeavor to change matter, and above all– our own physicality, and to reach to the stars –. "Litany" : Khalilah Birdsong
​
Khalilah Birdsong creates large-scale abstract paintings and installations that combine physicality of medium with finely calibrated balance. Her process employs loose, free gestures and has deep roots in her surrounding environment. Whether hunkering down in the North Georgia mountains, studying at Goldsmiths in London, or relocating to the rain forests of Maui, Hawaii, Birdsong surrounds herself with nature and ferevently explores its influence. Such effects are sensationally evident in her work.
